Return Policy


At CarPlayTesla, we want every Tesla owner to receive the perfectly compatible product for their vehicle. Please read this Return Policy carefully before placing your order.

Return Eligibility

We accept return requests within 30 days after delivery, provided that the item meets all of the following conditions:
  • The item is unused, undamaged, and in its original factory packaging
  • All accessories, cables, manuals, and included parts are complete and returned
  • The product has not been installed, modified, damaged, or misused in any way
  • The return request has been approved by CarPlayTesla in advance
⚠️ Products returned without prior written authorization may not be accepted.

Vehicle Compatibility

All CarPlayTesla products are exclusively engineered for specific Tesla models and years. Before purchasing, customers are fully responsible for verifying that the product is compatible with their exact Tesla vehicle (including model, production year and trim level).
We strongly recommend contacting our support team before purchase if you have any doubts about compatibility.
If the customer provides incorrect Tesla vehicle information or purchases the wrong product without confirming compatibility, return shipping costs will be the customer's responsibility.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are NOT eligible for return or refund:
  • Any electronic product that has been installed or used
  • Products with damaged, missing, or altered serial numbers
  • Customized or special-order products
  • Items damaged due to incorrect installation, misuse, modification, or improper wiring
  • Products returned without original packaging or missing accessories
  • Clearance or final-sale items explicitly marked as non-returnable

Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive a defective item, damaged item, or incorrect product, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Please provide the following information with your request:
  • Your order number
  • Clear photos or videos showing the exact issue
  • Photos of the product, original packaging, and shipping label
  • Your Tesla vehicle information (model, year and trim level)
  • Installation details, if applicable
After reviewing your case, we will offer the appropriate solution: troubleshooting support, replacement parts, a full replacement product, or a full refund.

Installation Issues

Our CarPlay & Android Auto modules are designed for plug-and-play installation in Tesla vehicles. However, if the product does not work as expected after installation, please contact our support team first before removing or returning the item.
Our technical team may request photos, videos, wiring checks, or software version information to help diagnose and resolve the issue remotely.
⚠️ Damage caused by incorrect installation, improper wiring, unauthorized modification, or misuse is NOT covered by our return policy or warranty.

Return Shipping

  • Unless the return is caused by our error (wrong item shipped) or a confirmed product defect, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our mistake.
  • We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method. CarPlayTesla is not responsible for returned packages lost or damaged in transit.

Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you via email whether your refund has been approved.
If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method. Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider's processing time.
CarPlayTesla reserves the right to deduct appropriate costs for missing accessories, damaged packaging, used condition, or any reduction in product value.

Exchanges

If you ordered the wrong product and need a different Tesla-compatible model, please contact our support team. We may arrange an exchange if:
  • The product is unused and in original condition
  • The correct replacement model is in stock
Price differences and additional shipping fees may apply.
